Conrad is smart; he got all A’s in his report card and is also a varsity athlete. Conrad has always been reasonable and solemn — and the boy that Belly has dreamt of having her whole entire life. One day, Belly goes to the summer house of his family and finds out that Conrad has grown to be moody and distant – he is not the boy he use to be, and something happened, but he keeps it to himself.
Conrad was always so wise – or at least he appeared to be until the last two years, which upset his life. Now, at the beginning of his first college year, he is still struggling to seek assistance from other people.

Biography
Conrad is the eldest child of Susannah and Adam Fisher and the elder brother of Jeremiah. The pair raised up in New York but visited Cousins Beach each Summer with their mom’s best friend, Laurel Park, and her two kids, Steven and Belly. Conrad was always a sweet, kind-hearted, athletic boy who hung out with the group despite being a few years older than them.
When Jeremiah was little, he made terrific sandwiches. Conrad, whose sandwich-making skills were PB&J at best, convinced Jeremiah that crust made his hair grow curly. Jere wanted straight hair, so he never touched the sandwiches, so Conrad finished them. Jeremiah got back to him when he peed in Conrad’s lunchbox.
On Belly’s fifteenth Summer, a drunk Jeremiah and Conrad dared drunk Steven to pee in the fireplace, which stunk up the house for days. Laurel blamed the neighbor’s cat for the incident.
Throughout The Summer I Turned Pretty
In the pilot book of the trilogy, Belly arrives at Cousins for yet another summer with Susannah and her two sons, the oldest of the two, Conrad, and the younger one, Jeremiah. It becomes clear the second Belly steps out of the car to approach the boys that they finally see her no longer as Steven’s little sister but as a girl now. Belly has always had a crush on Conrad since she was little, but will something bloom with her and Jeremiah? She starts things with a boy named Cam Cameron, as Jeremiah would say. But she realizes things won’t work out, so she breaks things off with him at the novel’s end.
